tibetan buddhist monk needs a sponsor

rabten gaytso

I was born in Tibet. My family was very poor, so when I was twelve years old my parents decided to put me in a monastery. My family had many people to take care of: four brothers and three sisters. I am the youngest. Now I am 30 years old. My mother died in 1998. My biggest life's sadness is that I couldn't see my mother again. This year my father is 76 years old. So my family can't help me. I hope to find a sponsor to help me.

In 1994 I came to India, and went to South India to Gomang Monastery to study religion. But I became very ill with pneumonia for a whole year. I couldn't become healthy in South India's bad climate, so I came to live in Dharamsala. Now I am learning English. Next year I hope to begin studying Tibetan medicine, and eventually become a doctor.

If a good compassionate person could help me financially for four or five years, I could become a doctor, and support myself and help other people.
